This week, I was asked for assistance from a good friend of mine at work, to help put together a basket of a certain theme for our yearly participation in my company’s JDRF silent auction. Each year, our staff (at my 9-5) joins forces to create an array of opportunities to bid on in silent auction. Another group of friends at work put together a JDRF 5K and all proceeds go to help fight Juvenile Diabetes. This year, with the recent launch of my blog, I decided to offer up a suggestion of a Virginia Wine themed basket. This basket will contain items such as a wooden cutting board, knives, wine glasses, bottle coolers, vouchers for Virginia wine that I am providing as a donation, a picnic basket and accessories. And lastly what I am asking for from the Virginia Wine Community, are tasting donations. So far, Keswick Vineyards and Gadino Cellars have provided complimentary tastings for the basket. A HUGE thank you to both the Keswick and Gadino staff and ownership for their donations. I write this blog post with the hope that a few more Virignia Wineries would be interested in donating a tasting for two, to be included in the silent auction. I am willing to create a voucher and pass the winner’s name along to your management for validation, or if it is easier, you may mail or email me a file of the voucher. It all goes to help support a great cause. If you are interested in donating a tasting/tour, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or to simply express interest. If you are not a winery and would like to contribute to our cause, you may also do so by clicking the link below to donate any amount that you please.
Thank you very much for your time reading this post. To all of those interested or who have made a contribution, thank you sincerely!
