Quick Pour: Rappahannock Cellars Cabernet Franc Reserve 2010

Producer: Rappahannock Cellars
Region: Northern Virginia
Price: $36.50
Vintage: 2010
Varietals: 90% Cabernet Franc; 10% Merlot
Winemaker Notes: Intense purity and volume of fruit. Loads of fruit on the nose with an abundance of varietal character. Rich, round, and extracted on the palate with a slight sweetness of fruit. Decant first.

Virginia Pour House Notes:

A plethora of dark ripe fruit with a hint of oak and spice mingle on the nose with round and concentrated flavors on the palate of smooth dark fruit (black cherry and plum) and assorted berry notes. A faint touch of sweetness jazz up the back of the palate while spice and supple tannins provide  a deep warm lengthy finish leaving behind layer after layer of ripe dark fruits. An excellent drink now wine, that may stand strong for a couple more years.
