EVENT: Second Annual Virginia Wine & Cheese Tasting to Fight MS

Here at Virginia Pour House, I’m all about supporting charity events and helping others in need to the fullest extent I can. After attending a blind sparking tasting at Early Mountain Vineyards (my second year attending), I spoke with Allan over at CellarBlog about his work with some other Virginia wineries to hold on an event supporting the fight against Multiple Sclerosis. I told him I would spread the word and I am, after all, a man of my word. The Second Annual Virginia Wine & Cheese Tasting to Fight MS is a great event (and very inexpensive given the enormity of the cause). TasteCamp Day Two; The trip through flavor country

Day one of the TasteCamp event proved to be nothing short of spectacular, and a bit overwhelming. Sounds rough I can imagine you saying yourself. After so many wines, your palate goes numb and all ability to decipher between two reds or whites goes right out the window! That being said, I was eager to see what day two would have in store for us. There we were, rolling up the long driveway into the parking lot of Fabbioli Cellars, and who better to greet us but Doug Fabbioli? Doug started his tour by explaining the many challenges that most of the other wineries had been faced with this year, frost risk and the early heat. TasteCamp 2012: Day One…

First and foremost, I would like to thank Frank Morgan (@DrinkWhatULike) and Lenn Thompson (@lennthompson) for putting together a weekend packed with some pretty incredible wine, vineyard tours, lunches and dinners, great writers/bloggers, transportation, and experiences that I’m sure pushed all participants palates to the limit!
