Wine Blogger

I am in no way a professional writer. Let me repeat, I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL WRITER. I’m merely a 30-something year old, Network Engineer/Business Development & Marketing professional, with a borderline obsessive attachment to wine, grapes, vineyards, cheese, and everything wine-related.  I am just a normal guy, sharing my opinions and experiences with other wine lovers. My overall goal is to provide readers with an insight on wines and wineries that they otherwise would not be aware of, most of those in Virginia or other viticulture areas that often fly under the radar.

For me, visiting a winery is more than just paying a couple of bucks to get a few pours of various offerings from the respective pioneers. It’s about atmosphere, the tasting room, the staff, the views, and of course, the wine! I hope you enjoy the site and utilize some of the information that I put up here to enhance not only your experience in the Virginia Wine Country, but in other parts that you may not have been aware of previously.

 Beer Blogger

I am an avid beer lover from outside of the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia. I moved to the Northern Virginia area in 2010 and got into craft beer and homebrewing heavily around the same time. Since then I have made it one of my goals to seek out awesome craft beer and tell the world (or anyone who will listen) about it. Like Anthony, I am not a professional writer by any stretch of the imagination, but I love sharing my experiences about beer with others. I enjoy educating people about the intricacies of beer and also trying new and different beers from the ever-expanding craft beer universe. Hopefully the information that I post here will be of use to both the craft beer novice and expert alike. I like to think that I have a fairly refined palate and have tried some amazing beers and been to some amazing breweries. I aim to provide fair, honest reviews of the beers I have tasted and the places I have been, as well as provide useful information for looking to become more ingrained in the craft beer culture.

  1. Hey guys,

My name is Dana Turner and I’m a designer. I worked on this infographic about the rise of the California wine industry and while doing research I came across your blog. Being a fan of wine myself, I was really excited to work on this project. I was wondering if you could take a few minutes to take a look at my infographic. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Please check out the link below:

Thanks for taking a second to look it oer. Again, I would really appreciate any feedback you could offer. Thanks so much!

  2. Hey guys, great wine blog! Great articles and I love the about page haha.

My friends and I just created a FREE app for the iPhone called “vinowine” which features wineries in Virginia and Maryland. We thought you might enjoy checking it out and telling us what you think considering your similar interests and passion for the good stuff! You can track which wineries you have been to as well as rate and favorite the places you find to be most memorable. Since you two seem to be visiting a lot of them, we would really welcome your reviews and comments of the wineries.

If youd like to download the app you can do so here:

Within our app we will also be creating a “featuring” portion to the app where we can highlight blogs and articles like yours! We want our users to be as informed as possible on Virginia wineries and what Virginia wine lovers have to say. We will let you know when we get that portion of the app done.

We’d appreciate your help on spreading the word so we can help advertise local wineries as well as highlight blogs like Virginia Wine Time. We would also really appreciate it if you’d link to our website as well http://www.vinowineapp.com/

Keep up the good work on the blog and I look forward to reading more!

  3. Hello!

I am a volunteer with Operation Paws For Homes, and I would like to share with you a wonderful opportunity for your readers. On September 26, 2015 we will be holding one of our largest fundraisers, Bark, Wag, & Wine. This event has something for everyone! Adults, children and dogs alike. There will be a silent auction with many wonderful items to win. Some of the items of interest are, Disney World Park Hopper tickets, gift cards to terrific restaurants and baskets overflowing with great prizes. We will also have goodie bags full of great items for each person young and old to take home. The OPH Kissing Booth will set up with some lovable dogs for everyone to say hello to. We are also planning several fun games for dogs! A good time will be had by all. Please invite your readers to come join in the fun and save some lives in the process!

Operation Paws for Homes, Inc. rescues dogs of all breeds and ages from high-kill shelters reducing the numbers being euthanized. Most of our dogs come from rural shelters in South and North Carolina. With limited resources, the shelters are forced to put down anywhere between 50% and 90% of the animals that come in the front door. We also partner with shelters located in Virginia and Maryland. Our organization provides pet adoption services to families located in Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, Southern Pennsylvania and neighboring states.

Below are the details about Bark Wag & Wine. Thank you for your time and support.

OPH is hosting Bark, Wag & Wine Fundraiser and Event on September 26, 2015 from 11–3pm to benefit our mission of rescuing dogs and finding them forever homes! Enjoy award winning wines, meet OPH families and dogs, start your holiday shopping with an incredible silent auction (that has something for everyone), enjoy live music and entertainment!
